If you’re anything like me, you probably love the smell of fall scented essential oils. They make your house smell great and can be very relaxing.  Essential oils are concentrated extracts taken from various parts of plants. These oils have many different purposes such as relaxation, energy boosting, and focus. In this post, I will be discussing how to use essential oils in a diffuser.

What Types of Essential Oil Diffusers are there?

There are three main types of diffuser: with water, without water, or with heat.

-Water:

Most diffusers come with a water tank that needs to be filled before use. Add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 100 mL of water. Once the tank is full, turn on the diffuser and enjoy the scent!

-Without Water:

Some diffusers don’t require water at all! These types of diffusers typically use heat or ultrasonic waves to disperse the essential oils into the air. If you decide to go this route, add 3-5 drops of oil onto the dispersing element inside the diffuser. Once you’ve added the oil, turn on the diffuser and enjoy! Keep in mind that these types of diffusers can get hot, so make sure to keep away from children and pets while in use.

-With Heat:

Another option is to use heat to diffuse your essential oils. The most common way to do this is by boiling a pot of water on the stove and adding 1-2 drops of essential oil per 100 mL of water. Once you’ve added the oil, put a lid on the pot and let it simmer until the desired scent is achieved. You can also add essential oils to an electric teapot or even a candle warmer! Just keep in mind that heat can change the properties of some essential oils, so make sure to do your research before trying this method.

Conclusion:

If you’re looking for an easy way to relax or purify your air, consider using an essential oil diffuser for fall! Diffusers come in many different shapes and sizes, but they all work to achieve the same goal: dispersing essential oils into the air.
